The Coordinating Unit of the Raptors MOU is please to announce the upcoming webinar:
“One Species, 62 Range States: Launching the Global Action Plan for the Conservation of the iconic Steppe Eagle”
The webinar will be held online in English on 23 June, from 14:00 to 15:30 (GMT+4, or UAE time).
This event follows the official launch of the Steppe Eagle Global Action Plan, recently adopted by CMS COP15. It offers a unique opportunity to:
Learn about the key threats facing this iconic, globally Endangered raptor, listed on CMS Appendices I and II, and explore the priority actions identified in the Action Plan to address them.
Hear from CMS Parties representing key range states: Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, and India, on their ongoing efforts and new commitments to implement the Plan.
The webinar aims to build momentum for coordinated action across the species’ range. It will provide Range States and stakeholders with an opportunity to discuss practical, collaborative measures to halt and reverse the decline of the steppe eagle and ensure its long-term survival along its flyways.
We look forward to your participation and the opportunity to share these insights with the conservation community.
