2026/001: CMS COP15 Registration and Other Important Information
The CMS Secretariat is pleased to share additional information in preparation for the Fifteenth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (COP15) and associated events scheduled to be held in Campo Grande, Brazil.
1. Participants Information Note
The Participants Information Note for COP15 is now available on the COP15 information hub. The Information Note provides important logistical information for delegates, including details on the venue, visas, accommodation, local transportation, and other practical arrangements.
Participants are strongly encouraged to review the Information Note carefully in preparation for their attendance.
2. Registration
Parties and observers are reminded that registration for COP15 is open. Registration to the meeting serves as notification of the intention to be represented at COP15 and is required for all participants.
The Secretariat urges all Parties and observers who have not yet done so to complete their registration as soon as possible via the COP15 Registration website.
In particular, Parties that are eligible for funding support are strongly encouraged to register at the earliest opportunity to allow the Secretariat to make the necessary arrangements.
3. Parties in Arrears
Parties are reminded that in accordance with Resolution 14.2, Financial and Administrative Matters, Parties that have payments in arrears of three years or more are excluded from eligibility for funding support to attend the COP. The Secretariat therefore urges such Parties that wish to attend COP15 to clear such arrears and invites them to contact the Secretariat for this purpose.
4. Reports and statements under agenda items 7-11
Reports under agenda items 7 to 11 may be delivered orally during the opening session, subject to time limitations, and, if preferred, may also be submitted in writing for publication in English. Any written reports should be submitted to the Secretariat as soon as possible.
The Secretariat further suggests that statements under agenda item 10.1 be delivered by regional groups, rather than by individual Parties, where possible. Parties are therefore invited to coordinate within their respective regional groups should a regional statement be delivered.
5. Further information
Parties and observers are kindly requested to consult the COP15 information hub regularly for updates, including information on the provisional agenda, meeting documents, side events, and other organizational matters.
6. Communications materials for COP15
All COP15 participants are invited to make use of the communications assets prepared by the Secretariat to support awareness-raising efforts.
