2012/017: New Signatory to the Migratory Sharks MOU

The Secretariat of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) in its capacity as Depositary of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Conservation of Migratory Sharks is pleased to inform you that:

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland signed the Memorandum of Understanding on the Conservation of Migratory Sharks in the United Kingdom, on 18 June 2012.

The MOU has been in effect since 1 March 2010. For the new Signatory the MOU enters into effect on 1 July 2012.

This brings the total number of Signatories to 25, as of 1 July 2012.
