Joint CITES-CMS Virtual Meeting of the Jaguar Range States

At the request of the CITES and CMS Standing Committees, the CITES and CMS Secretariats are organizing a virtual meeting of the jaguar Range States and other partners on 2 June from 07:00 – 12:00 (CST), 10:00 – 15:00 (BRT), 15:00 – 20:00 (CEST), to: 

• review the comments on the draft situational analysis; the draft range-wide programme of work; and elements for a possible CITES resolution on jaguar, taking into account the work of the CITES intersessional working group on Jaguar;  
• identify elements for a joint work programme between CITES and CMS, taking into consideration the draft range-wide programme of work;  
• review the progress of the implementation of CITES Decisions 19.111 and 19.112 and the outcomes of CITES SC77; and  
• define details for preparing a second in-person meeting of the jaguar range countries, subject to availability of external funding. 

This meeting is jointly organized by the CMS and CITES Secretariats in close cooperation with the Governments of Brazil and Mexico.
