The Standing Committee is requested to: a) provide advice on the implementation of the SPMS and facilitate consultations to support Parties in aligning their actions, subject to the availability of resources; b) adopt a new template for National Reports for COP16, and periodically review its effectiveness to ensure clarity and usability; make it available to Parties at least 15 months in advance of COP16, aligned to the SPMS; c) provide advice on the implications of the implementation of the SPMS for the CMS Programme of Work, and recommend adjustments to better align it with SPMS priorities, including timelines and resource needs; d) assess implications of the advice in 15.8 for National Reports and ensure recommendations are transparent and publicly available to promote consistency and accountability.
