The Fourteenth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS COP14) will be a key meeting to advance global biodiversity objectives and will strengthen actions that directly contribute to the Kunming Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, as well as climate change and other global priorities.

The High-Level Segment of CMS COP14 will take place at the invitation of the government of Uzbekistan and will be comprised of three consecutive sessions. Special attention will be paid to regional collaboration among Central Asian countries, who initiated the historic United Nations General Assembly Resolution 75/271 entitled "Nature knows no borders: transboundary cooperation – a key factor for biodiversity conservation, restoration and sustainable use" which was adopted on 16 April 2021.

Sessions 1 and 2 will feature special dialogues among Ministers, Executives of International Organizations, and other high-level representatives with a focus on strengthening transboundary cooperation for the conservation of migratory species in Central Asia.  Session 3 will invite ministers and other high-level officials to share their experience related to international or transboundary cooperation on migratory species conservation in the form of statements.
