Dead whale washes up on popular South African beach

Strand Beach, near Cape Town, was closed on Wednesday in case the body of a 14-metre-long whale that has washed up on the shore attracts sharks. Great whites, the largest predatory species of shark, are common in the cool Atlantic waters off Cape Town and sometimes attack surfers or swimmers
