2021/011: CMS Secretariat Analysis of the First Draft of the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework and Its Proposed Headline Indicators

The first draft of the post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) and its proposed headline indicators were released on 12 July 2021 in view of the negotiations at the third Meeting of the Open-ended Working Group on the GBF (OEWG3) planned for 23 August-3 September 2021.
The CMS Secretariat is pleased to share its analysis of these documents with respect to how they relate to CMS priorities reflected in the Gandhinagar Declaration on CMS and the post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework, adopted at CMS COP13 (2020).
Previous versions of these analyses were shared with the Members of the Working Group on the CMS Family inputs to the post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework.
