The Scientific Council is requested, pending availability of resources, to: a) provide guidance to the Secretariat and support the implementation of Decision 15.197; b) make any further recommendations, as appropriate, that may be needed within the framework of CMS to address migratory species connectivity, in particular with respect to activities undertaken under Decision 15.197, including identifying data gaps revealed by the Ecological Connectivity and Infrastructure Survey, advising on priority taxonomic groups and regions, and providing scientific direction on assessing links between connectivity, ecosystem integrity, and climate resilience.
