2014/008: Benefit Concert in Support of the World Migratory Bird Day Campaign

The UNEP/CMS Secretariat is pleased to announce that a benefit concert will be held to mark World Migratory Bird Day, a global campaign celebrated annually to raise awareness of the need to conserve of migratory birds and their habitats across the world.

Following the great success of last year, the "Corale San Rocco" choir of Bologna has generously offered to perform again in Bonn, in support of the campaign. The new element this year is the participation of the Choir of the Deutsche Welle, the German foreign broadcasting service. The multicultural ensemble has been performing for 20 years using a variety of musical styles and languages.

All proceeds from the concert, donations from sponsors and concert guests will be given to a selected conservation project. The concert will take place in the "Evangelische Kreuzkirche"Kaiserplatz 1, Bonn, on Saturday, 10 May.

Anyone wishing to attend the concert would be welcome. The programme of the concert will be made available shortly.
