2025/30: Call for Expression of Interest – CMS COP15 Side Events

As announced in Notification 2025/014, the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS COP15) will take place in Campo Grande, Brazil, from 23 to 29 March 2026.

The CMS Secretariat is pleased to invite Parties and observers to organize side events in a dedicated space that will be made available next to the Conference Centre. Side events should be relevant to the objectives of the Convention as well as topics under the COP15 agenda. Those interested in organizing a side event are kindly requested to submit an application form – available here: Call for expression of interest CMS COP15 Side Events – Form no later than 28 December 2025. The Secretariat will notify successful applicants after the deadline regarding their allocated time slot and provide further logistical information.

Side events will be scheduled in 45-minute time slots starting at 12:45, 13:45 or 18:15, from 23 to 27 March 2026. Please note that the 18:15 time slot will not be available on 23 March 2026 to allow delegates to attend the evening reception. Applicants are invited to indicate their preferred date and time slot in the registration form. While every effort will be made to accommodate these preferences, final scheduling will depend on overall availability.

Each side event room at the COP15 venue will accommodate up to 80 participants in theatre-style seating and feature a stage with a head table for five. Rooms are equipped with a projector, a laptop, a speakers’ rostrum, two cordless microphones, power sockets for the head table and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Information and documents related to CMS COP15 are available on the dedicated webpage of the CMS website. Updates will be provided on the website as additional information becomes available.
