2025/033: Regional Preparations for CMS COP15

The Secretariat wishes to inform Parties that, following internal discussions and in consultation with the Chair of the Standing Committee, the Secretariat will not be in a position to organize pre-COP regional meetings in advance of CMS COP15. This decision is due to the shortened intersessional period, the holiday period for many between SC8 and COP15, and the limited resources available to support the organization of such meetings.

The Secretariat encourages Parties and regional groups, through members of the Standing Committee or through other means, to convene regional consultations to review COP15 agenda items and exchange views. Should specific agenda items on which additional information is desired be identified, the Secretariat will seek to provide additional information as appropriate.
