2024/023: Call for Nominations for IPBES Methodological Assessment of Integrated Biodiversity-Inclusive Spatial Planning and Ecological Connectivity

The Secretariat of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) is pleased to inform CMS Parties and stakeholders that the call for nominations of experts for the IPBES Methodological Assessment of Integrated Biodiversity-Inclusive Spatial Planning and Ecological Connectivity is now open until 24 January 2025. Interested Parties and organizations are therefore encouraged to submit their nomination by following the procedure set up in  the IPBES notification, and inform the CMS Secretariat.

The IPBES Secretariat has published a notification informing about an online dialogue meeting for Governments and stakeholders  which will be organised on 5 November 2024 to provide additional information regarding the required relevant expertise of nominees and the nomination process. Interested representatives from Governments and observers, as well as any interested stakeholders, are therefore encouraged to register for this online dialogue for more information.

The Methodological Assessment of Integrated Biodiversity-Inclusive Spatial Planning and Ecological Connectivity was  approved by the IPBES Plenary in decision IPBES-10/1,  as outlined in the scoping report for the assessment.
