2020/016: New Party to the Convention - Turkmenistan

The Secretariat of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (UNEP/CMS) is pleased to inform you that the German Federal Foreign Ministry has confirmed receipt of the accession documents of Turkmenistan.

Turkmenistan becomes a Party on 1 January 2021 bringing the total number of Parties to the Convention to 132. Turkmenistan has also acceded to the African-Eurasian Waterbird Agreement.
