Intergovernmental organizations, in particular the European Commission, the European Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture Advisory Commission (EIFAAC), the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES), the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) and its Advisory Committee, and the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), are encouraged to engage with the implementation of activities outlined in the SSAP.
