Decision directed to: Standing Committee
The Standing Committee is requested, with the support of the Secretariat, to:
a) compile, within one year of COP15, information on the resources from all sources, for conservation of migratory species, to map existing funding sources and their availability, and to identify gaps and potential resource mobilization options, based, inter alia, on national reports and information available in other MEAs;
b) taking into consideration the aforementioned compilation, develop a resource mobilization strategy, with special attention to the specific challenges faced by developing country Parties, in particular least developed countries and small island developing States in implementing the Convention, and to submit it for consideration and approval at COP16.
Decision directed to: Secretariat
The Secretariat shall support the Standing Committee in compiling the relevant information and developing the resource mobilization strategy.
