Communication work guided by the CMS Communication Strategy (under development) can support the implementation of Target 8, for example by highlighting examples of relevant implementation actions by Parties and others.

Note: Under the Sharks MoU, a communication and awareness-raising strategy is being planned for completion in 2017, which will inter alia address the conservation status of the relevant species.
