The meeting took place on 16-19 April 2018 at the International Academy for Nature Conservation (INA) on the Isle of Vilm, Germany. It was jointly organized by the CMS Secretariats and the INA of the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN INA) with funding from the German Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU).

Participants reviewed implementation of activities agreed in the Progranne of Work since 2014, discussed challenges, future needs as well as priorities until 2020 in order to enhance implemenation, and agreed on reporting and monitoring processes for CAMI in the run-up for CMS COP13 in 2020.
