The Goitered or black-tailed gazelle (Gazella subgutturrosa) has a wide distribution range, covering about 20 countries, in the Arabian Peninsula across the Middle East and Asia to Kazakhstan, Mongolia, China and Pakistan. The species is classified as vulnerable as its populations have declined in recent decades due to poaching, habitat degradation and fragmentation. Goitered gazelles inhabit arid deserts and desert-steppe habitats, where they seasonally migrate covering up to 30km per day.

В 2022 году Фонд диких овец (Wild Sheep Foundation, WSF, США) учредил премию "За достижения в области сохранения архара", чтобы отметить усилия отдельных лиц и организаций в странах ареала обитания этого животного. Первым лауреатом премии стал Его Превосходительство Рустами Эмомали, мэр города Душанбе, столицы Таджикистана. Именно в Таджикистане обитает самая крупная в мире популяция редких горных баранов, архаров. Работа Рустами Эмомали способствовала формированию механизмов устойчивой охоты, сохранению поголовья и мест обитания диких баранов в стране.

In 2022, the Wild Sheep Foundation (USA) established the Argali Conservation Achievement Award to recognize efforts of individuals and organizations in Argali Range States. Tajikistan is home to the world’s largest Argali population and the major of Tajikistan’s capital city Dushanbe became the first recipient of the award. His Excellency Rustami Emomali the Mayor of Dushanbe is also the founder of the Association of Hunters of Tajikistan who’s work contributed to the establishment of sustainable hunting mechanisms and conservation of wild sheep habitats in the country.

Kazajistán, Mongolia, la Federación Rusa y Uzbekistán han acordado nuevas medidas de conservación conjuntas para conservar el antílope saiga en el marco de la Convención de las Naciones Unidas sobre la Conservación de las Especies Migratorias de Animales Silvestres (CMS). Durante los próximos cinco años, el programa de trabajo internacional para el saiga proporcionará un nuevo marco para conservar y utilizar de forma sostenible la especie en toda su área de distribución migratoria.

Казахстан, Монголия, Российская Федерация и Узбекистан согласовали новые совместные меры по сохранению сайгака в соответствии с Конвенцией Организации Объединенных Наций по сохранению мигрирующих видов диких животных (КМВ). В течение следующих пяти лет Среднесрочная Международная Рабочая Программа по сайгаку (2021 – 2025 г.) обеспечит новую основу для сохранения и устойчивого использования этого вида на всей территории его ареала.
