The winter weather conditions significantly vary in the Carpathian Basin and in the whole Middle-European region year by year. These differences were becoming more significant in the last decades due to climate change. The changing weather conditions affect both the wintering and the migratory behaviour of Great Bustard populations in general, and can result in developing unique survival strategies each winter.
