Bushmeat Sourcebook Launched

Bonn, 6 March 2015 – to coincide with World Wildlife Day, the Collaborative Partnership on Sustainable Wildlife Management (CPW) launched an online resource titled the Bushmeat Sourcebook.

The term “bushmeat’ refers to wild terrestrial animals - mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians - harvested for food and other purposes including medical use, primarily in tropical and sub-tropical forests.

CMS, one of the Partners of this voluntary partnership consisting of 13 international organizations with mandates and programmes for the sustainable use and conservation of wildlife resources, was involved in the elaboration of the Sourcebook.

The CPW issued a press release in conjunction with the launch of the Sourcebook.  This can be accessed here.
