The Secretariat of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) is pleased to inform you of the 2013 Call for Small and Large Grant Proposals of the Caribbean Islands Biodiversity Hotspot Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF). The deadline for applying for the CEPF grant is 30 September. Instructions for applicants can be found here.
Founded in 2000, CEPF provides grants to help protect biodiversity hotspots, Earth’s most biologically rich yet threatened areas. CEPF promotes objectives that are consistent with those of the Convention and its specialized agreements and may thus provide a source of funding to assist CMS with the implementation of conservation activities on the ground. This call is open to projects in the following countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Bahamas, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
The CMS Secretariat encourages its Parties and partners to propose projects that contribute to the implementation of any plans, actions or initiatives developed under the Convention and its instruments, and will strive to support these proposals with letters of endorsement.
Anyone who is eligible and interested in submitting a project proposal to the CEPF that supports CMS goals is asked to please contact both:
Monika Thiele, Programme Officer/Focal Point for North America
Laura Cerasi, Associate Partnerships and Fundraising Officer
