The UNEP/CMS Secretariat is pleased to announce the 2013 CMS Small Grants Programme (SGP) call for applications. In this new round the SGP is foreseen to disburse at least US$ 100,000 (approximately € 75,000) thanks to a generous contribution by UNEP.
In parallel to CMS, the African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbird Agreement (AEWA) is launching its Small Grants Fund (SGF) 2013 for the Conservation of Migratory Waterbirds and their Habitats: http://www.unep-aewa.org/activities/small_grants_fund/
The CMS Small Grants Programme targets countries that have ratified the Convention, especially those that are developing countries. Parties which are more than three years in arrears with their contributions are not eligible for the Programme. Individual projects can generally receive up to € 15,000, however applications for lower amounts are encouraged. Further information on project eligibility, prioritization and selection procedure are available online, together with the Guide for Applicants and the Application Package: http://www.cms.int/bodies/ScC/small_grants_programme.htm.
Revised guidelines for the operation of the Programme are available in UNEP/CMS/Conf.10.43.
Grant Application Forms must be submitted together with an Endorsement Form, duly signed by the respective National Focal Point. Incomplete forms will not be considered for selection.
The deadline for submitting applications is 30 November 2013.
