Following notification 2022/021, the Secretariat to the Convention on Migratory Species has the pleasure to inform you that the registration to attend the Sixth Meeting of the Sessional Committee of the CMS Scientific Council (ScC-SC6) from 18 to 21 July 2023 is open.
Participation of observers
In accordance with Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the CMS Scientific Council and its Sessional Committee, the following entities have the right to attend the meeting as observers:
Any agency or body, whether national or international, inter-governmental or non-governmental, qualified in fields relating to the conservation and management of migratory species, wishing to be represented at the meeting may do so, unless at least one third of the members present at the meeting object. Bodies or agencies desiring to be represented at the meeting by observers should submit the names of their representatives to the Convention Secretariat at least 15 days prior to the opening of the meeting.
All observers may participate, but without the right to vote. The Secretariat may, in advance of the meeting, and for practical reasons such as space, limit the number of individuals, such as to a given number per observer entity.
Registration
Registration to the meeting will serve as notification of the desire to be represented at the meeting. To register for ScC-SC6, please follow the instructions on the registration website at ScC-SC6 Registration.
Venue
The meeting will be held at the Secretariat’s premises in Bonn, Germany.
