The CMS Secretariat would like to inform all Parties that the 1^st Meeting of Range States for the Joint CMS-CITES African Carnivores Initiative will take place 5 - 8 November 2018 in Bonn, Germany.

The joint meeting will bring together representatives of the 47 African countries which are Range States to the four species (Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and Wild Dog) covered by the African Carnivores Initiative, and initiate the fulfillment of CMS COP12 Decisions 12.55 -12.60.

Formal invitations will be sent out to Range States of the four target species of the Initiative.
