2016/007: Funding Opportunities for Migratory Species within USFWS

The Secretariat of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) is pleased to inform you of forthcoming funding opportunities within the United States Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) International Affairs programmes, namely:

-     Combating Wildlife Trafficking–pre-application deadline for this grant is 22 April;

-     South America–application deadline for this grant is 2 May;

These grants promote objectives that are consistent with those of the Convention and its specialized agreements and may thus provide a source of funding to assist CMS with the implementation of conservation activities on the ground.

The CMS Secretariat encourages its Parties and partners to propose projects that contribute to the implementation of the Convention and its instruments and will strive to support these proposals with letters of endorsement.
