The 25 Signatories and numerous observer organizations, met for the First Meeting of Signatories to the Sharks MOU in Bonn, 24-27, September, 2012.

The following decisions were taken:

1. Adoption of a Conservation Plan (ANNEX III to the MOU)
2. Adoption of a budget for the coordination of the MOU
3. Adoption of Terms of References of the Interim Secretariat
4. Adoption of Terms of References of the Advisory Committee
5. Establishment of the Advisory Committee
6. Adoption of Criteria and a procedure for amendments of Annex I to the MOU (Species List)
7. Authorization of HSI Australia and HSI USA as Cooperating Partners of the MOU
