summarizes the results of the Marine Turtle
Conference held in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire,
in May 1999.
The bilingual document consists of four parts
containing: the text of the Memorandum of Understanding
and draft Conservation Plan; information on
the species present in the region and various
issues relevant to the conservation of marine
turtles; the report of the Abidjan Marine Turtle
Conference, including summaries of the findings
of five working groups; and some useful reference
