The CMS Abu Dhabi Office, which is generously hosted by the Environmental Agency – Abu Dhabi on behalf of the Government of the United Arab Emirates, is home to the Secretariat for the CMS Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Conservation and Management of Dugongs and their Habitats Throughout their Range and the Coordinating Unit for the CMS MoU on the Conservation of Migratory Birds of Prey in Africa and Eurasia. With Jillian’s entry on duty the Abu Dhabi office is now fully staffed with a team of six full-time professional and administrative staff and four short-term team associates.
Lyle Glowka, Executive Coordinator, noted: “Jillian has an exceptional wide-ranging set of technical and policy skills that are perfectly suited to helping us achieve our objectives in relation to both MoUs. What’s more she will help us grow our work on behalf of the CMS Family aimed at conserving avian and marine migratory species within the region. We are very pleased to have Jillian on board with us.”
