Bonn,
21 February. On the occasion of his visit to Bonn, the Namibian
Ambassador to Germany H.E. Hanno B. Rumpf signed the Memorandum
of Understanding concerning Conservation Measures for Marine
Turtles of the Atlantic Coast of Africa. By doing so Namibia
has taken a much-appreciated step towards closer cooperation
with the Convention on Migratory Species. Namibia thus becomes
the 21st participating country of a total of 26 range states
and closes an important gap along the West African coast.
