In addition to the special exhibition "Laying of the foundation stone 100 years ago - the Zoological Research Museum Alexander Koenig", invited visitors to the event "Living research" were able to directly address the experts with questions and were also able to engage in a dialogue with scientists.

A varied program drew widespread attention to research themes and the history of Museum Koenig. The park was opened and guests were invited to stroll or relax in the park cafe. As Alexander Koenig himself kept live animals for research purposes, live animals were presented to the public in the Museum park. Guided behind the scenes tours offered insight into current research and children's programs made the anniversary celebration a fun family experience.
