Access to Conference Venue
Only pre-registered people with a badge have access to the conference venue. We would therefore urge those who have yet to register, to do so by using the online system.
As announced, side events are scheduled at lunch time or evening and have a maximum duration of one hour to avoid overlap with important Working Group and Committee meetings.
The exact time of each side event slot is indicated the Schedule of the Conference.
Side event rooms are equipped with a projector, a screen, internet access and power sockets. No interpretation for side events will be provided. As laptops are not provided, we would kindly ask you to bring your own.

Those who wish to ship items (information materials and/or equipment) to the conference venue should send them to:

Event organizers are responsible for the transport, display of their items and customs clearance including any related costs.
RBG will be receiving shipped items and then transfer them to the convention centre on 2 November. It is therefore recommended that items arrive at least one week before the event, i.e. by 27 October.
Please make sure that the shipped items are clearly labelled “CMS COP11” with contact information of the sender and the event it is for.

Power Sockets and Plugs:
These are the two shapes of electrical sockets and the two types of plugs used in Ecuador:
For power sockets, a World Travel Adapter with a plug for US is necessary to charge electronic devices.
Electricity in Ecuador runs with 110-115 Volt (e.g. it is lower than in Europe). Most of the laptop chargers can convert automatically. In case the charger cannot convert automatically, a Step-up Converter 110-120 V AV to 220-240 V is needed.
All COP11 participants are encouraged to present their work or any related issue relevant to the objectives of the Convention on Migratory Species and specifically to the items of the COP11 agenda in the form of an exhibit.
Exhibits will be set up mainly in the foyer of the Conference venue. Only tables and chairs can be provided. The area is equipped with power plugs and wireless Internet connection. Additional technical information is provided above.
The Secretariat will allocate exhibition space and equipment depending on the number of requests.
