The Smithsonian Institution and, UNEP/CMS will together host a seminar in Washington DC to look at recent and potential developments for migratory species conservation in a regional context. Marine, terrestrial and avian species will all be covered in consecutive sessions, with keynote contributions form a carefully balanced panel of American and global experts. CMS hope the seminar will mark a new era in co-operation between the Convention, its regional agreements and the Americas where the number of CMS Parties is due to reach double figures by mid 2007.CMS will also be highlighting, for the first time in North America, its global campaign to raise awareness on the need to conserve dolphins: 2007, Year of the Dolphin.
